Adelaide Coulson is a Visual Development artist and animal specialist.

From Toronto Canada, and currently enrolled at Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Adelaide has dual citizenship (CAN/US), is well traveled and ready to work. 

​

Adelaide has had extensive foundational training in all classical forms of art, which rears its head in the texture and brushwork of her digital paintings. A painter at heart, her pallets are bright, but purposeful and mirror nature. She has a strong sense of movement and anatomy, no matter how many legs the character has, and absolutely loves bringing them to life.

She does not shy away from character design, landscape design, vehicle/prop design, color scripting or creature design. She has extensive knowledge in Procreate, Photoshop, Zbrush and all physical mediums. Over the past couple of years she has been the lead layout and background painter on two animated shorts. She has also had the privilege of learning through the classes and mentorship of Terryl Whitlatch. 

When Adelaide isn't parked in a coffee shop with her ipad, she’s either riding a horse, or watching The Grand Tour with her cat Charger.
